Wheat flour based with starches or crumbs. This first layer step works as a binder between the base product and the breader and can or not be enhanced with flavors.
This liquid layer helps the breader be adhered to the base product in an evenly way. Flavors, herbs and other ingredients can be added to intensify the flavor profile.
Last outer layer. Made from fine powders or baked bread crumbs. They may or may not be seasoned and vary in granulometry and crumb shape for different textures and levels of crunchiness.
